Scope of Work
This project required the reconstruction of an existing three-span concrete bridge over CSX railroad tracks, WMATA railroad tracks and the Brookland-CUA Metro Station. Arya Civil was also responsible for associated roadway improvement, utility replacement and relocations, including traffic signals and street lighting. The existing superstructure bridge was replaced with a new superstructure bridge, with the top portion of the piers above the crash wall and the existing approach slabs removed and rebuilt.
Project HIghlights
This $12 million District Department of Transportation project extended along Monroe Street from Seventh Street to 10th Street, with the majority of construction taking place between Eighth and Ninth Streets. Arya Civil was also responsible for the implementation of low-impact development best management practices.
